Jessy Kaur has experience in applied economic research, policy evaluation, and data-driven consulting. Ms. Kaur holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California and a Master of Arts in Economics from Panjab University, India.
Ms. Kaur has worked with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) to develop disaster-financing tools and conduct spatial analyses, strengthening microinsurance strategies in Myanmar. At USC, she worked as a Research Assistant, analyzing the impact of extreme temperatures on cognitive performance in Mexico, and contributed to research on climate impacts and public health. She also developed data visualizations and dashboards examining food insecurity in Los Angeles County and the socioeconomic determinants of health in India, helping to translate complex data into accessible and actionable insights.
During her time at USC, Ms. Kaur received the USC Price Community Impact Scholarship Award and an Honorable Mention for the Robert P. Biller Award, recognizing the significance and impact of her graduate practicum project on policy.
Outside of work, Ms. Kaur enjoys painting, listening to podcasts, traveling, and exploring new cuisines.
