Laura Valera, M.Sc. leads the operational strategies of Insight Economics and ensures seamless execution across departments. With over 20 years of experience in the economic consulting field, she leverages her expertise, vision, and leadership capabilities in business operations to drive efficiency and ensure the team has the resources and tools to succeed. Ms. Valera applies her deep industry knowledge to continuous improvement in all areas of functions, including staffing allocation, talent acquisition, talent development, human resources, vendor management, information technology, and office management.
Ms. Valera collaborates with the management team to develop and implement plans to streamline the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the organization.
In her role, she demonstrates her commitment to the development and growth of the Insight team by:
- Collaborating to motivate and lead a high-performance management team
- Directing efforts to attract, recruit, and retain talent
- Providing mentorship and coordinating career development programs
Prior to Insight Economics, Ms. Valera oversaw the operations of a global economic consulting firm. She previously also acted as a consultant implementing dynamic forecast modeling, data mining methods, and statistical analysis to a wide variety of cases, both on litigation and business optimization frameworks.
Ms. Valera earned her Master’s degree in Economics and Finance at Centro de Estudios Monetarios y Financieros (CEMFI), Madrid, and her Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona.
