Overview
Insight Economics was retained by a seller of cigarillos, which brought antitrust and breach of contract claims against its supplier. Insight Economics’ analysis was extensive and was relied upon at trial. 

Challenge
The case involved multiple legal theories and complex facts, which Insight distilled to persuasive economic evidence for the jury at trial.

Results
The jury, after hearing the Insight expert’s testimony, awarded TSI breach of contract damages of $9.06 million and antitrust damages of $14.8 million. The breach of contract award was upheld on appeal, while the antitrust judgment was reversed on the merits on both of plaintiff’s claims.
