Matt Farber, Ph.D., is an experienced consultant and expert witness specializing in microeconomic theory and data analysis. Dr. Farber applies these tools to complex litigation and dispute matters, including antitrust, intellectual property, breach of contract, and false advertising, among others. His work frequently addresses issues such as lost profits, reasonable royalties, unjust enrichment, irreparable economic harm, domestic industry considerations, commercial success, monopolization and attempted monopolization.
Dr. Farber’s experience spans a range of industries, including consumer goods, high tech, pharmaceuticals, and financial instruments, among others.
Dr. Farber has been recognized as a “Highly Recommended” intellectual property expert in Lexology’s 2026 Client Choice Awards.
Dr. Farber earned his Ph.D. in economics, where he served as both a teaching and research assistant in the economics department at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. Prior to his graduate studies, he taught middle and high school mathematics in Title I public schools in Houston, where he also served as a department chair, data chair, and soccer coach.
