Irina Telyukova, Ph.D. is an experienced economic consultant and expert witness specializing in the economics of intellectual property, financial services, real estate, consumer protection, labor and employment, competition, and other areas. She combines academic rigor and industry expertise to provide economic and econometric analysis and testimony in a variety of industries, including life sciences, pharmaceuticals, technology and electronics, and banking and financial services. She also provides consulting services in predictive modeling, financial forecasting, and strategic analytics using advanced quantitative and data science techniques. Dr. Telyukova is a recognized authority in economic analysis, with a background in academia, policy, and financial services, an extensive peer-reviewed publication record, and a track record of over 100 speaking engagements worldwide.

Prior to Insight Economics, Dr. Telyukova was the Chief Analytics Officer for a midsize commercial lending firm. She was previously an assistant professor of Economics at the University of California, San Diego, where in addition to her research career, she taught at the undergraduate and Ph.D. levels and was a sought-after peer reviewer for many top journals in Economics, including Econometrica, American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, and the Journal of Political Economy. In that time, she repeatedly served as a visiting scholar across the Federal Reserve System and at the International Monetary Fund. Dr. Telyukova also served as Treasurer and later Chair of the Board of Advisors of Villa Musica, a nonprofit organization in San Diego dedicated to providing access to music education to underserved populations. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a recipient of the 4-year Jacob Javits Graduate Research Fellowship, awarded to 10-15 students in the social sciences nationally each year. She graduated summa cum laude with B.A. degrees in Economics and Mathematics from Connecticut College.
