Joseph Fitz

Joseph Fitz has consulted on projects related to patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and unfair competition, with projects across a variety of industries.

The following are some examples of Mr. Fitz’s consulting projects:

• Analysis of reasonable royalty and unjust enrichment for trade secret misappropriation in the tobacco industry;
• Reasonable royalty analysis for patent damages related to video and streaming technology;
• Licensing and economic contribution analysis for patent infringement damages related to medical devices;
• Lost profits and unjust enrichment analysis arising from unfair competition in the pharmaceutical industry;
• Analysis of preliminary injunction elements related to alleged patent infringement in the pharmaceutical industry.

Mr. Fitz graduated cum laude  from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Economics and minors in Mathematics and Business. Prior to joining Insight Economics, Mr. Fitz worked as an Instructional Apprentice for a college-level intermediate microeconomics course and as a math tutor for elementary and middle-school students.

Outside of work, Mr. Fitz enjoys attending church, reading, working out, and singing.
