Frank Hinman spent 25 years practicing competition and appellate law at an AmLaw 100 firm. He served as Co-Chair of his firm’s antitrust and appellate practice groups, Managing Partner of its Silicon Valley office, and a founding member of its Diversity Executive Committee. He served in ABA Antitrust Section leadership and was rated among California’s leading antitrust lawyers by Chambers and other publications.
Collaborating extensively with top industrial organization economists, Frank led all aspects of private and agency antitrust matters for technology companies, college sports leagues, and firms in healthcare, consumer electronics, payments, and other industries. He argued appeals across the country on antitrust, products liability, and commercial matters.
In his consulting practice, Frank draws on his experience as a consumer of expert economist services to drive clients’ matters to a successful and efficient resolution, with an emphasis on expert reports, preliminary injunction declarations, admissibility challenges and defenses, and deposition and trial preparation. He has worked on matters related to competition, price discrimination, patent damages, patent misuse, trade secrets, and false advertising in the pharmaceutical, bioscience, medical device, consumer products, natural resources, freight forwarding, and other industries.
Frank has a B.A. in economics, cum laude, from Claremont McKenna College and a J.D. from UC Law San Francisco. He is retired from the practice of law.
